Kari Brooke Jobe, commonly known as the worship singer "Kari Jobe" was born in 1981, in Waco, Texas, to her parents Mark and Caroline "Sandy" (née Bragg) Jobe and was raised in Watauga, Texas, and Hurst, Texas; both suburbs of Fort Worth. She has two siblings, Kristen and Caleb. Jobe began singing at the age of three and became a Christian at the age of five. As she grew older, she attended Oral Roberts University, Christ For The Nations institute and Dallas Baptist University and obtained her degree in pastoral studies and psychology.

For nearly two decades, well-respected worship leader Kari Jobe has been using her gifts to lead people into the presence of God. When she began leading worship at age 13, she never imagined she would be nominated for a GRAMMY®, win multiple Dove Awards, have a RIAA Gold Certified single or be praised by the New York Times. Jobe is currently working on new music that will include a studio version of "The Blessing." She will also be on the road with her husband Cody Carnes on the Hillsong Worship "Awake" tour this summer. Originally from Texas and now residing in Nashville, she tours the country with her husband Cody Carnes and their two boys, Canyon and Kingston, and they both serve at their home church The Belonging Co.
